Spiritual Birth/Spiritual Care
The birthing woman holds the paradigm of the spiritual journey. Through her willingness to "be" in each contraction, she can discover her greatest strengths. She can turn sorrow into joy - not just the end result, but the process itself.
Wife, mother, grandmother ("Savta"), and retired interior designer, Miriam Maslin has been a source of inspiration to many: young and old, secular and religious, long-time searchers and those who are just beginning their own "Interior Design". Her inner journey has taken her across the spectrum from the beginning to the end of the life cycle -- she is a certified doula (birth assistant) and has served as both hospice volunteer and member of Chevra Kadisha (Jewish Burial Society).
As a doula in the Holy City of Jerusalem, a student of Chassidut (the approach to Judaism which focuses on the inner journey and the mystical) and Polarity Therapy (a system of energy/holistic healing), Miriam seeks to support her client's whole process - physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual.
Miriam leads workshops internationally for childbirth professionals, hospice staff, and chaplains - for all those who are interested in spiritual care.
